Terms & Conditions 


You can place your booking by email or in person. At the time of booking you will be agreeing to our terms and conditions. We must receive payment in full unless 28 days’ notice is given in the event of change or cancellation of the booking.


Deposit and days charged

Hollyhocks accept payment by direct bank transfer, cash or cheque . Full payment of the balance is due at check in.

For the avoidance of any doubt day of arrival, day of discharge and all days booked are charged for.

30% deposit is taken at the time of booking; this is non-refundable.

Double rate is charged on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, News Years Day and Easter Sunday.



Hollyhocks welcomes you to visit out hotel to ensure that it is the perfect choice for your cat , as such we are happy to offer viewing days at the discretion of the owner (usually Saturdays) and by appointment only. Please contact Nicky Rigler to make an appointment.


Check in and Check Out

We will try and tailor check in and check out to suit yours and your pets individual needs, please give an indication of this at the time of booking. Hollyhocks will always aim to meet these requirements.

In the event that your cat hasn’t been collected within 14 days of the pre-arranged check out date, and no communication has been received from the owner , Hollyhocks, will, at its own discretion re-home the guest at a local rehoming centre.


Hollyhocks Cancellation Policy

28 days’ notice is required in the event of cancellation. If we are notified outside of this time the full balance will be required unless we are able to offer the stay for another guest; a partial refund may be offered at our discretion.


Short Stay Fee


Our minimum booking fee is charged at 3 days.

This is to ensure our hotel exceeds the hygiene of other catteries; we don’t want to let our standards slips and by charging this we will continue to offer our guest the best litter, food, and expert care.

This means that if you stay for 1 or 2 days you will be charged for 3.


Health & Vaccinations


All guests will be required to provide proof of vaccination or titre testing against Feline Influenza, Feline Parvovirus (also known as Feline Enteritis), and feline respiratory viruses .

A titre test certificate will be used if it valid for the current period the guest is staying at the hotel. This should be on official veterinary headed paper.


Photocopies of records will not be accepted – please bring originals only. *** during the global pandemic COVID-19 emails of photographed immunisation records shall be accepted**

Unfortunately homeopathic vaccinations are not accepted.


Guests are boarded at the sole risk of their owners and whilst every care is taken, Hollyhocks Cat Hotel cannot be liable for illness, injury or death of any animal in their care.

If your cat appears unwell whilst in our care we will at the first instance contact your normal vet. Should this not be possible we will refer to our nominated veterinary surgery ; fees may apply. Any fees incurred as a result of a pre-existing medical condition will be the responsibility of the owner and must be settled in full by the owner on check out.


Other General Conditions


Only cats from the same family can share a suite; if there is any issues that present a risk to the health and safety of the cats they will be separated. Additional charges may be incurred.


Male cats must be neutered if over the age of 8 months


Parasites; cats should be treated prior to arrival for fleas and worms. If any cats are found to have parasites they will be treated at the cost charged by the vets plus an administration charge of £10 for time, fuel.


You agree that at the time of booking that you authorise that should your cat become unwell to it being treated by a qualified vet.
