Terms & Conditions 



You can place your booking by email or in person. At the time of booking you will be agreeing to our terms and conditions.

Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is paid and regrettably we cannot reserve dates free of charge.

We must receive payment in full unless 28 days’ notice is given in the event of change or cancellation of the booking.


Deposit and days charged

Hollyhocks accept payment by direct bank transfer, cash or cheques or online/telephone through Sage Pay or face to face by card machine in the hotel. Full payment of the balance is due at check in.


For the avoidance of any doubt day of arrival, day of discharge and all days booked are charged for.

30% deposit is taken at the time of booking; this is non-refundable.

Double rate is charged on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, News Years Day and Easter Sunday.




Hollyhocks welcomes you to visit out hotel to ensure that it is the perfect choice , as such we are happy to offer viewing days at the discretion of the owner (usually Saturdays) and by appointment only. Please contact Nicky Rigler to make an appointment.



Check in and Check Out


We will try and tailor check in and check out to suit yours and your pets individual needs, please give an indication of this at the time of booking. Hollyhocks will always aim to meet these requirements.


In the event that your cat hasn’t been collected within 14 days of the pre-arranged check out date, and no communication has been received from the owner , Hollyhocks, will, at its own discretion re-home the guest at a local rehoming centre.


Hollyhocks’s Cancellation Policy


28 days’ notice is required in the event of cancellation. If we are notified outside of this time the full balance will be required unless we are able to offer the stay for another guest; a partial refund may be offered at our discretion.


Short Stay Fee


Our minimum booking fee is charged at 3 days between the months of October and June inclusive and 5 days between the months of July-September inclusive.

This is to ensure our hotel exceeds the hygiene of other catteries; we don’t want to let our standards slips and by charging this we will continue to offer our guest the best litter, food, and expert care.


Health & Vaccinations


All guests will be required to provide proof of vaccination or titre testing against Feline Influenza, Feline Parvovirus (also known as Feline Enteritis), and feline respiratory viruses .

A titre test certificate will be used if it valid for the current period the guest is staying at the hotel. This should be on official veterinary headed paper.


Photocopies or scans will continue to be a accepted via text, email . Where possible bringing the original document at check in would be received with thanks.

Unfortunately homeopathic vaccinations are not accepted.

Guests are boarded at the sole risk of their owners and whilst every care is taken, Hollyhocks Cat Hotel cannot be liable for illness, injury or death of any animal in their care.

If your cat appears unwell whilst in our care we will at the first instance contact your normal vet. Should this not be possible we will refer to our nominated veterinary surgery ; fees may apply. Any fees incurred as a result of either a new or pre-existing medical condition will be the responsibility of the owner and must be settled in full by the owner on check out.
